UCM4SVN is a user-friendly, browser based Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution which integrates with Subversion and/or Git.
UCM4SVN is designed to allow 'activities' of work to be defined, developed, tested and, when appropriate, merged into a project's main code line.
From the project manager's perspective they have the option to control what and when each feature is added to the main line development and so what is included in the next release. Progress and status can be viewed instantly through UCM4SVN with effective reporting provided by the open source tool Birt.
Developers can choose which of the activities assigned to them they should start next.
UCM4SVN key features:
- User friendly interface which elevates developers from the detail of your configuration management solution also reducing manual errors.
- UCM4SVN is browser based, operating independently of any existing CM interface such as Tortoise, RapidSVN etc.
- Integrates with your change management tool of choice including Atlassian JIRA, IBM Rational ClearQuest, Trac and more. Activities and tasks can be created automatically from via defect or enhancement tickets, the ticket is updated as the activity becomes completed.
- Integrated source code review through the open source product ReviewBoard, subsequent comments automatically appear as activities in a Developers to-do list.
- Integrated reporting via the open source tool Birt.
- Allows developers to “push” or project managers “pull” completed activities onto the main branch as preferred.
- Assign UCM4SVN permissions, access and features by role type, each team member can assume one or more roles including UCM4SVN Administrator, Developer, Integrator, Project Manager, Reviewer.
