Clearvision release Unified Change Management (UCM) for Subversion
Clearvision released version 1.0 of Unified Change Management (UCM) For Subversion on 3rd March 2009.

UCM4SVN is a lightweight, ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) product for Subversion (SVN).

Modelled on the principles of IBM Rational ClearCase Unified Change Management (UCM), UCM4SVN is a simplified version which takes these key concepts and applies them to Subversion (SVN).

UCM4SVN sits above Subversion and operates independently of (and in conjunction with) any existing Subversion client interface (including Subclipse, TortoiseSVN, RapidSVN, SmartSVN or plain command line). UCM for SVN allows the development team to manage activities and deliverables, increasing visibility and efficiency.

The primary purpose of UCM for SVN is to wrap a simple but effective structure around Subversion and raise the level at which developers are required to interact with Subversion thereby removing the need for in-depth Subversion administration.

UCM for SVN also enables the establishment and enforcement of Subversion development policies, helping to minimise build problems by identifying conflicting changes and contributing activities earlier in the development process.
