IBM Rational Jazz is IBM’s new technology platform for collaborative software delivery. IBM is branding the development ideology of IBM Rational Jazz as Open Commercial Development which is a revolutionary fusion of open source and traditional commercial development models. The development progress and future enhancements of IBM Rational Jazz is visible via www.jazz.net and provides open access to available builds, allowing customers to feedback and help drive development decisions.

Rational Team Concert Express is the first release. Currently in beta on www.jazz.net, Rational Team Concert Express includes integrated work item, source control and build management support. Positioned to support small to medium-sized teams Rational Team Concert is designed to give agile teams a highly collaborative development environment with the easy exchange of information.

Whilst Rational Team Concert is a new tool it will come with out-of-the-box integrations that enable interoperability with IBM Rational Clearcase, IBM Rational ClearQuest and Subversion.
