Clearvision have recently completed installation of the full IBM Rational ClearCase 7.1 configuration management server and client software on the free CentOS 5.2 open source linux operating system.
IBM Rational ClearCase 7.1 is officially supported on the Suse and Red Hat releases of the linux OS, the IBM Installation Manager software itself will only allow full installations of ClearCase on those platforms. Following a customer request Clearvision overcame the issues involved in implementing the IBM Rational configuration management software on an unsupported platform and have successfully installed the full client and server software. Clearvision provide ongoing IBM Rational Support for the CentOS linux operating system.
