New CQ2SVN release can close ClearQuest records
Clearvision is pleased to announce the latest release of CQ2SVN, the complete integration between IBM Rational ClearQuest and Subversion.

The latest CQ2SVN release includes the ability to change the state of a ClearQuest record directly from the CQ2SVN user interface reducing the need for developers to interact with ClearQuest which both increases productivity and allows the developer to choose whether the ClearQuest record should be marked as “complete” at the time of a Subversion commit.

As an example workflow;
  • A defect is identified within ClearQuest
  • Team leader assigns the ClearQuest record to the developer
  • The developers analyses the issue and updates a number of Subversion files
  • When the fix is complete the developer performs a Subversion commit
  • For each Subversion commit CQ2SVN queries ClearQuest for a list of records assigned to the developer (displayed in the graphical interface regardless of the chosen interface: command line, Eclipse, TortoiseSVN, etc)
  • When the developer commits for the final time they also select the ‘Change State’ option in CQ2SVN
  • This action instructs ClearQuest to move the record onto the next default state in the schema
