Subversion 1.5 took a step closer to release today with the announcement of Release Candidate 5 (planned to be available later today). This date marks the start of the evaluation period (also known as the soak period) for the new build, involving testing and feedback prior to a full release, expected in the current quarter.Subversion 1.5 is a greatly anticipated landmark in the open-source Subversion project originally initiated in 2000. Subversion has since been recognised by Forrester as the sole leader in SCM.
