About the speakers :


Gerald Tombs, Managing Director, Clearvision.

Gerald has worked in Software development for over 25 years, choosing to specialize in Configuration and Change management for the last 15. Gerald joined Atria Software in 1993, working with ClearCase until 1997 when he left Rational Software to become the founder of Clearvision. Gerald is responsible for company direction and product definition, he is lead architect for tools such as CQ2SVN (ClearQuest integration with Subversion) and the revolutionary Web Based Training platform. Gerald is actively involved with Clearvision clients providing advice, guidance and direction for all matters CM related. Clearvision is the largest independent CM consultancy with offices in Europe and the USA, it continues as a major services and products supplier to the IBM Rational and Open Source market.

Rob Budas, Senior Product Manager, WANdisco Inc

Rob started at Atria Software in 1995 as a software developer (Atria was the original company that created ClearCase and was acquired by Rational Software in 1997) where Rob both developed and used ClearCase working with customers across multiple industries.  In 1997, Rob moved from Engineering into Sales as a Systems Engineer and then from early 2001 through 2004, Rob was a Senior Product Manager for IBM ClearCase with responsibilities for a broad set of ClearCase functionality. Rob is one of the Senior Product Manager’s at WANdisco with specific focus on helping customers leverage the capabilities of the Open Source platforms available today such as Subversion, CVS, CVSNT and who have requirements to deliver globally distributed development across their enterprise.
