The ClearCase to Git Bridge has been developed for companies who;- Are transitioning from IBM Rational ClearCase to the Open Source solution Git (or vice versa);

High level technical overview
Diagram 1 below represents the CC2Git Bridge mapping a ClearCase data structure to an equivalent Git data structure. A change to a file in Git will be transported across the CC2Git bridge and checked in as a change in ClearCase, and vice versa.
The principle of the bridge is simple, a change in one tool is mirrored across the bridge where it is automatically picked up and applied. CC2Git abides by the rules of the corresponding tool regarding conflicts i.e. should a conflict occur, the developer is notified.
