Why The Atlassian Summit San Jose 2017 Is Going To Be Awesome
From 12th to 14th September, the Atlassian Summit will be descending on San Jose, California, bringing with it the usual mix of news and announcements.
Following Atlassian’s first European version of the event, earlier in the year, the US summit will bring in both seasoned and new Atlassian users from all around the world – all eager to find out what’s going to happen next. If you’re involved in enterprise IT in any way, the Atlassian Summit is not to be missed.
Clearvision will be attending as a gold sponsor, and the team is already looking forward to it! Here we’re sharing a few of the many reasons why Summit is going to be awesome.
Major News And Announcements
Atlassian never stops working on its products, and its R&D investments is there for all to see. Regular updates and improvements are all part of the firm’s quest for continual improvement.
Nevertheless, Atlassian always saves some of the really big changes for Summit. That’s why these events are so important. It was at Summit, for example, that the much-improved ‘Simply powerful’ UI was first unveiled.
Make no mistake, whatever next tricks the Atlassian team have hidden up their sleeves will be pulled out in San Jose.
Hearing From Atlassian Management
As with any successful company, a good deal of Atlassian’s achievements can be credited to its entire workforce, because effective collaboration at all levels is needed in order to thrive. As Atlassian says, it’s all about teamwork!
Nevertheless, the people at the top play a crucial part in moving things forward. At Summit, you’ll get the unique chance to hear directly from some of them – not only the founders, Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, but also department and project leaders.
How much these folk are involved in the everyday running of Atlassian will no doubt vary, but if you want to know where the company is headed and what its future strategy looks like, these are the people to ask.
At Clearvision, we love meeting the users – whether they’re system administrators, customers, CEOs or developers. They all have stories to tell, and we’re keen to hear them.
Summit gives us the chance to connect with real people like that, but it’s also an opportunity for you to meet us and get answers from our expert consultants.
Maybe you’re struggling with hosting; maybe you need better support for your Atlassian tools; or maybe you just want to know more about tools like JIRA and Confluence and how to get the most out of them. Whatever Atlassian thoughts you have on your mind, Clearvision can help you make sense of them.
Even better, we’ll be hosting a pre-Summit party on 11th September, so you can chill out and have a casual chat with our team before the main event kicks off. We’re confirming the final details as I write, but we’ll be sure to let you know what’s happening nearer the time, so keep a look out for your invite!
Can’t wait till September to talk to us? Contact us today, and let us know what we can help with.
Exactly what’s going to be revealed at Summit remains a mystery, but many of us will have our suspicions. Some of them might be realised, while others won’t.
No matter how much guessing you do, though, there’s bound to be something you just didn’t see coming. It could be a new product, an exciting acquisition or an opening ceremony that blows the last one out of the water (our expectations are high, Team Atlassian!). Who knows?
The only thing you can be sure of is that you’ll want to be there to see it happen. Who doesn’t like surprises?
If you were at last year’s Summit, you would have seen Clearvision’s “stamp cards” – visit our stand and the stands of our partners, get your card stamped by all, and a charitable donation would be made.
This year, as before, you can visit the Clearvision stand to collect a card, and collect stamps from all participating partners. Get a stamp from all the participating companies, and not only will a charitable donation be made on your behalf – you’ll be entered into a prize draw!
If you’re the lucky winner, then you’ll be going home with a Spark mini drone. As well as a 12MP built-in camera and a top speed of 50Kph, the Spark can be controlled with a phone or a hardware control system. It also offers neat features like gesture control, allowing you to take photos simply by moving your hands in front of the camera.
There are, of course, many more reasons to attend Summit, like the fact you’ll meet thousands of other IT professionals, you’ll pick up a ton of cool freebies, and you’ll have the chance to learn everything there is to know about the Atlassian toolset. Whatever reason you choose to attend, we look forward to meeting you there!
