From cake sales to obstacle courses to prize draws, at Clearvision we're always eager to try new ways of fundraising. We've worked with a number of charities to raise money to further the causes we feel passionate about.
Dreamflight: Clearvision’s chosen charity
Each year, Clearvision chooses a charity to support throughout that year. From 2016-2017, the bulk of Clearvision's charitable activities will be raising money for Dreamflight:
Dreamflight is a UK charity that changes young lives through taking children with a serious illness or disability, without their parents, on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida.
Established in 1987 and operating annually since, Dreamflight believes that fun and joy are just as important as medical research and equipment - especially for children who perhaps can't wait long enough for the breakthrough they need or whose illnesses and treatments have brought pain, distress and disruption to their lives.
At the 2016 Atlassian Summit, Clearvision raised over $1700 for The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, to help with the protection and preservation of elephants in Kenya and its wilderness.
Why The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust? Well, it began with a t-shirt - as the Clearvision team grew, so did the services we offer to help teams work smarter and faster. When we added agile training and consultancy to our remit of services, we needed a way to get the message out there.
This is how our "agile elephant" was born. The 2014 Atlassian Summit was the debut of Team Clearvision's "agile elephant" t-shirt, and since then the elephant has been our mascot for all things agile.
