What you need to know about mobile JIRA Software and Confluence

Atlassian HipChat has long been available on a range of mobile devices – now JIRA Software and Confluence are following suit.
Here’s what you need to know about Atlassian’s latest mobile offerings.
JIRA Software for Cloud
In a recent survey of JIRA Software Cloud users, Atlassian found that 75% wanted a better way to track in JIRA from their smartphones.
With JIRA Software for iPhone, users can now track what’s important on the go. It brings you a curated feed of your most important projects. Notifications mean you can stay up to date no matter where you are, and it’s easy to comment and @mention other users.
You can also create, assign, and prioritize issues straight from your phone, all while you’re on the go.
Confluence Cloud
The Confluence iPhone app brings notifications of shares, @mentions, comments and tasks to you when you’re on the move. You can view team activity and like, comment, share, and save content for later, all from the app.
Confluence for iPhone’s “recent work” feature not only makes it simple to view the pages you’ve recently been working on, but makes the transition between desktop and mobile seamless. You can always be up to date.
iPhone and Cloud: Just the beginning
“What about Android?”
The bad news is that for the time being at least, the JIRA Software and Confluence apps are only available for iPhones. The good news is that Android apps are on Atlassian’s roadmap – in fact, you can sign up for early access to the Confluence Android app already.
The same goes for those with Server instances of JIRA Software and Confluence. At the moment, mobile apps are Cloud-only, but Atlassian has hinted at future announcements around further mobile offerings. So watch this space – we’ll share further announcements with you as they happen!
