THE TIMELINE

Date Milestone
Tuesday September 13th Price increase announcement made
Thursday October 13th Deadline to request a quote from Clearvision at old pricing (for renewals, upgrades, or new subscriptions).
After this date, customers with a live quote must not make changes to their Atlassian Cloud site (including deactivating or activating apps), or your quote will be invalidated and you will be re-quoted at FY2023 prices.
Tuesday October 18th New FY2023 pricing goes live
Monday November 14th Deadline to provide a Purchase Order to Clearvision for new or upgraded licenses at old pricing
Between today and Thursday December 15th Deadline to provide a Purchase Order to Clearvision for renewals at old pricing (depending on your renewal date - see details below)

IF YOUR RENEWAL DATE IS PRIOR TO JANUARY 14TH 2023

If you intend to renew at your current user tier, your renewal date (i.e. the date your current subscription expires) must be ON OR PRIOR TO Saturday January 14th 2023.

Customers with renewal dates AFTER Saturday January 14th 2023 will be quoted at Atlassian’s increased pricing for FY2023.

If your renewal date is after this date, you can still take advantage of Atlassian’s ‘old pricing’ by upgrading your user tier. Upgrades will be prorated to your renewal date at your current advantaged pricing level and could save up to 57% (see details of upgrades below).

Renewing now at your current user tier will save between 0% and 57% compared to Atlassian’s FY2023 pricing.

Clearvision customers with an Atlassian Cloud renewal date up to December 3rd 2022 will have already received a 12 month renewal quote as part of our regular proactive renewals service.

Clearvision now highly recommends renewing for 24 months in order to lock in today’s pricing for as long as possible, and save up to 57% for a full 2 years.

When do you need to provide Clearvision your renewal Purchase Order by in order to beat the price increase?

Deduct 5 days from your renewal date (i.e. the date your current subscription expires). If the resultant date is later than December 15th, then that is your latest date to provide Clearvision with your Purchase Order.

  1. Example 1: your subscription expires on September 29th, deduct 5 days = September 24th
  2. Example 2: your subscription expires on January 8th, deduct 5 days = January 3rd. Your latest date to provide Clearvision your Purchase Order is December 15th.

After Thursday October 13th, customers who have had a quote but have not yet provided a Purchase Order to Clearvision must not make any changes to their Atlassian Cloud site, such as switching apps on or off, including starting or ending trials. Doing so will invalidate our advantaged pricing quote with Atlassian and you will therefore be forced to pay Atlassian’s FY2023 increased pricing.

Clearvision will contact affected renewal customers in due course, but if you would prefer to reach out now, please feel free to do so by emailing customerservice@clearvision-cm.com.

If you are not an existing Clearvision customer but would like to discuss the impact of the price increase on your renewals, please reach out via our contact us page.

IF YOU PLAN ON UPGRADING YOUR USER TIER OR IF YOUR RENEWAL DATE IS AFTER JANUARY 14TH 2023

Upgrading your user tier now will lock in your current advantaged pricing level and could save up to 57% compared to Atlassian’s FY2023 pricing.

Customers do not need to have a renewal date prior to January 14th 2023 in order to upgrade their user tier.

Upgrades will be prorated to your renewal date. For example, if your current subscription expires on June 30th 2023, you could upgrade your user tier for the period September 13th 2022 – June 20th 2023. You can do so at your current advantaged pricing, if you follow the timelines set out below.

If you intend to upgrade your user tier, you must inform Clearvision by Thursday October 13th so that we can generate an upgrade quote.

You must then provide a Purchase Order to Clearvision to secure this quote by Monday November 14th.

IF YOU PLAN ON BUYING NEW ATLASSIAN CLOUD SUBSCRIPTIONS

Buying a new subscription now will lock in today’s list pricing and save you up to 5% compared to Atlassian’s FY2023 pricing.

If you intend to buy new licenses, you must inform Clearvision by Thursday October 13th so that we can generate a quote.

You must then provide a Purchase Order to Clearvision to secure this quote by Monday November 14th.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Clearvision customers with eligible renewals will be contacted directly in due course. We will be proactively quoting a 24 month option so that you can lock in the best available pricing for as long as possible.

If you are not an existing Clearvision customer but would like to discuss the price increase, please reach out via our contact us page.

If you would like to upgrade you user tier, buy new licenses, or discuss any other license related matters with our team, please contact customerservice@clearvision-cm.com

FAQs

Why are list prices increasing again? Over the last 12 months, Atlassian has released dozens of features across their cloud products focused on improved performance and security, powerful integrations to both Atlassian and 3rd party offerings, ease of use around search and reporting, and more.

This price update is reflective of Atlassian’s continued investment in building powerful cloud products that better serve its customers.
Why is the price of my renewal increasing? Atlassian introduced advantaged pricing to ease tenured customers into list price so they do not have to absorb the impact in one go. Customers on advantage price plans have enjoyed the full set of features and investments while paying below list, which are already competitively priced. Atlassian will continue to bring advantaged prices closer to list over the next few years.
Will there be future Cloud price increases? Historically, both advantaged and list price changes for cloud have occurred in October and will likely continue to occur around this time frame in the future.

As a business, Atlassian regularly review the market landscape, product investments, and pricing to ensure list prices remain competitive. While Atlassian can’t comment on future price changes, for reference, in the past two years they have increased prices by 5-10% per year.
Will the price of renewals keep increasing? Atlassian will continue to gradually bring advantaged prices closer to list prices. On October 18th 2022, Jira Software Standard will be brought to list, and remaining products will be brought to list over the next few years. When price changes occur, Atlassian will always share these prices in advance so that customers have time to review and make the right decisions for their business.
Will the price of my Atlassian Marketplace apps increase too? Atlassian owned apps are not part of this pricing change. Non-Atlassian owned app pricing is determined by the app developer. Questions regarding pricing for non-Atlassian apps should be directed to the the app developer’s contact information in the Atlassian Marketplace.
What are the new list prices for Cloud products? Please see a full breakdown of new list pricing here
What are the new prices for Cloud advantaged pricing? (most renewals) Please see a full breakdown of advantaged pricing here
Why are Confluence renewals and upgrades unaffected? Confluence advantaged pricing has already been brought in line with full list pricing in previous price increases.
I’m a Monthly Cloud customer. How can I beat the price increase? Monthly Cloud customers can lock in today’s pricing for as long as possible by switching from Monthly to Annual, and in doing so will receive 2 months free.
How can I find out how I will be affected? Affected Clearvision customers will be contacted directly soon.

If you are not a Clearvision customer but would like to discuss the price increase, feel free to reach out via our contact us page.
What is the best way to mitigate the price increase? If your renewal is due on or before January 14th 2023, Clearvision highly recommends renewing for 24 months in order to lock in today’s pricing for as long as possible.

If your renewal is due after January 14th 2023, you can upgrade your user tier now in order to lock in today’s pricing for as long as possible.

If you plan on buying new licenses, you should buy them now in order to lock in today’s pricing.
My renewal is due after January 14th 2023. Can I still beat the price increase? Yes, but only if you are upgrading your user tier or buying new licenses.

If your renewal is due after January 14th 2023 and you plan to renew at your current user tier, unfortunately you will have to do so at Atlassian’s FY2023 prices.
I want to take advantage of this period, but I cannot have the budget or a Purchase Order approved within your timelines. Can I still beat the price increase? Unfortunately the timeline set out above must be strictly followed in order to beat the price increase.
I’m not sure if I have received the quote I need yet from Clearvision If in doubt, please email customerservice@clearvision-cm.com with your licensing query and we will be happy to help
