Data Center and Server Price Rise Announcement
On Tuesday, January 10th, Atlassian announced a price increase across its Data Center and Server products. Find out more in this blog post.

The price increase will go live on Wednesday, February 15th.
The price impact ranges from 0.5% to 25% depending on your product and when you first purchased it, so it is important to consider your options NOW – please therefore read the information set out below carefully.
WHO DOES THIS AFFECT?
- Atlassian Data Center customers on advantaged pricing plans.
- Atlassian Server customers who intend to renew their maintenance subscription again between now and the Server End of Life (Feb 2024).

| What is advantaged? Advantage price plans are special price plans that are below list price. We introduced advantaged pricing to ease tenured customers into list price so they do not have to absorb the impact in one go. Customers on advantage price plans have enjoyed the full set of features and investments while playing below list, which is already competitively priced. Atlassian will continue to bring advantaged prices closer to list over the next few years. Historically, both advantaged and list price changes for Data Center have occured in February and will likely continue to occur around this time frame in the future. |

IF YOUR RENEWAL DATE IS PRIOR TO MARCH 31st 2023
You will either have already received a Clearvision quote at Atlassian’s old 2022 pricing, or you will do so very soon.
If you intend to secure your quote, you must supply Clearvision with your Purchase Order no later than Monday, March 13th.
For Data Center customers, Clearvision recommends you renew your subscription for 24 months in order to lock in the current pricing for as long as possible. Please request a 24 month option from us.
After Monday, March 13th, all Clearvision quotes containing Atlassian’s old 2022 pricing will become null and void and you will need to be re-quoted at Atlassian’s new 2023 pricing, and suffer the price increase.
IF YOUR RENEWAL DATE IS AFTER MARCH 31st 2023
If your renewal date is after March 31st 2023, you may not receive a Clearvision quote in advance of the price increase deadline.
It is therefore important for you to proactively request a quote from Clearvision if you wish to consider pulling your order forward in order to beat the price increase.
This is relevant for:
- Data Center customers with a subscription expiry date after March 31st 2023
- Server customers who wish to renew their maintenance once more between now and the Server End of Life (February 15th 2024)
IF YOU WISH TO UPGRADE YOUR DATA CENTER USER TIER
If you wish to upgrade your Data Center user tier, or think you may need to in the coming year, you should consider bringing forward your order in order to beat the price increase.
Clearvision recommends purchasing a 24 month subscription in order to lock in the current pricing for as long as possible.
Please request quotes for upgrades or new subscriptions from us between now and Friday, February 10th.
IF YOU ARE STILL ON SERVER (you have not yet migrated to Cloud or Data Center)
Support for Atlassian Server products ends on February 15th 2024.
It is vital that you now accelerate your journey to Cloud or Data Center.
- For businesses with greater than 1000 users:
The Cloud Loyalty Discount enables you to migrate to Cloud with a 20% discount on purchases of greater than 1000 users, but is only available until June 30th 2023.
If you cannot move to Cloud, the Data Center Loyalty Discount enables you to upgrade to Data Center with a 15% discount on purchases of Jira or Confluence with greater than 1000 users, but is only available until June 20th 2023.
- For businesses with fewer than 1000 users:
Step-up credits enable you to migrate to Cloud with a prorated discount based on the value of your remaining Server maintenance.
Businesses with greater than 200 users of Jira Software, Confluence or Bitbucket; or greater than 50 users of Jira Service Management can take advantage of step-up credits, if they have greater than 180 days (6 months) remaining on their Server maintenance.
Step-up credits are only available until March 31st 2023.

| Why is Atlassian increasing prices again? | Atlassian list prices are very competitive compared to the market. It has been their goal to have equal pricing for all customers and to keep costs affordable, they want to ensure all customers are treated the same. Atlassian introduced advantaged pricing to ease tenured customers into list price so you do not have to absorb the impact in one go. Atlassian is doing this gradually to help you plan better for the future over the next few years. Historically, these gradual price changes have happened about once per year. When, and if price changes occur, Atlassian will always share these prices in advance so that you have time to review and make the right decisions for your business. Atlassian believe that their products are competitively priced. Data Center continues to be a priority for them with recent features such as Automation for Jira (A4J), automatic historical data clean-up, and much more. Atlassian will continue to build enhancements to Data Center products that improve performance at scale, increase native product capabilities and end-user value, and extend the flexibility and control of your instance. In fact, Atlassian has released the following enhancements in the last 12 months: |
| Can server and Data Center licenses be renewed for longer than a year? | Server customers can prepay for up to 12 months of support. The last date to generate a quote for the 1-year term available is Feb 15, 2023 PT, with the term ending on Feb 15, 2024 PT. Server renewal quotes cannot have a maintenance period past the Feb 15, 2024 PT server end-of-support date and will be prorated automatically to reflect the end of support date Feb 15, 2024 PT. Data Center customers can purchase up to 24 month term renewals for any user tier. We do offer three-year contracts for Data Center purchases of 5,000 users or more as well. |
| Will we change the renewal period outside of the 12 or 24-month standards if a server license expires after the date of the end of support for server (Feb 15, 2024 PT) – i.e. flexible renewal? | Yes, we will adjust the renewal period if the customer’s server license expires after the end of support date. If their server license expires after Feb 15, 2023 PT, a customer can renew for 12 months if their renewal date is after end of support date of Feb 15, 2024 PT. The quote will be automatically prorated. |

| Are the prices of Marketplace apps increasing? | Marketplace apps built by Atlassian or Atlassian labs are not part of this pricing change. Non-Atlassian Marketplace app pricing is determined by the app developer. Questions regarding pricing for non-Atlassian apps should be directed to the the app developer’s contact information in the Atlassian Marketplace. |
| I’m on a 24-month Data Center subscription with the loyalty discount - is my bill changing in Feb 2023? | Because the 24-month subscription has not expired, there is no immediate impact to your advantaged price plan. If you upgrade or renew after the advantaged plan pricing change, your pricing will be based on the then-current advantaged plan with the then-current loyalty discount percentage (if applicable). |
| If a Data Center customer upgrades their user tier on/after Feb 15, 2023 PT will they continue to be on advantaged pricing? | Yes, if Data Center customers upgrade their user tier after Feb 15, 2023 PT, they will continue to stay on an advantaged pricing plan just at the then-current advantaged pricing. |
